ORGANOLEPTIC DESCRIPTION
energetic, uplifting, zesty,
dry, tart, fresh, crisp
FROM MIRIAM
“Citrus scents are nearly always described as happy, playful, energetic, uplifting, effervescent notes. When you look a little closer, you start to discern there are juicy citrus like Tangerine, tart citrus like Lemon, sweet citrus like Orange, even dry citrus, depending on the fruits used.
Our Citrus A accord is a dry, sophisticated Citrus which is led by Bergamot and Grapefruit Peel. These oils offer a dry-tart experience creating lift and cool airiness. This blend lends itself well as an introduction to fine fragrance, or as a facet of a more complex blend where the Citrus could create an impression rather than a signature. The Lime is of such a high quality that it supports the other notes without drawing the spotlight from their brilliance.”

FROM MIRIAM
“The Green Floral accord offers one of the most full-bodied, raw-green olfactive experiences I’ve smelled. The fresh mown grass of the 3-Hexenol wraps with the Ylang and Lavender to create both a humid and dry experience, depending on the angle. A faint hint of camphor offers coolness to the floralcy. The green is anchored-in, and has the potential to offer true signature in the right hands.”

“With our twin offerings in the Warm Spice family, I felt it was important to showcase the dramatic olfactive differences between ingredients within the same family.”
“Warm Spice A offers the sharp, peppery, camphoraceous, dry warmth of Cardamom Seed, Ginger and Brazilian Pepper.”
“While Warm Spice B is the counterpoint as a smooth, grounding, powdery-sweet, woody balsamic, Nutmeg-forward accord.”

FROM MIRIAM
“Resinous, mystical and balsamic are the traditional descriptors for an Incense accord composed with Frankincense. But when Labdanum and Styrax are added, suddenly we experience dry, leathery, vanillic and a hint of animalic qualities. If there is such a thing as a sensual Incense, this is it.

FROM MIRIAM
“If you could combine the dry sweetness of Virginia Cedar, the earthy green depth of Galbanum, balsamic sweetness of Gurjum, and the damp-cave-clean-dirt of Patchouli, along with earthy facets of Vetiver and Elemi, you would have this magnificent forest of rich woods at your Olfactive service. And now you do.
Secret: I have been wearing this base on it’s own since it’s creation.”

FROM MIRIAM
“True to it’s character, Green A is simultaneously dewy and crisp, slightly sweet, and has a broad sweep of fresh-cut-grass as it’s signature. Delving into the accord, there is the effect of a fresh snap-pea-pod, alongside the herbaceousness of Basil and Rosemary Leaf. The goal was to create a very dewy, nature-effect freshness.”

FROM MIRIAM
“With the appearance of our Rich Floral accord, we have now entered the realm of Rubenesque Floralcy! Immediately, this voluptuous scent envelopes you in Mother Nature’s Formula. I write these in capital letters because with only two flowers, Jasmine and YlangYlang, she hypnotizes us with more molecules than we could ever compose on our own. The Ylang is clean and fresh, while keeping it’s complexity; the Jasmine, dewy in it’s richness. The overall: heady, sweet, spicy, slightly clove-y and euphoric.”

FROM MIRIAM
“Of all the classifications within the Olfactive Genealogy, the one true accord has always been Amber. Many say it is perfumery’s rendition of the rich, warm, mammalian, powdery sweet aroma of Ambergris (of whale vomit fame; which technically is in the Animalic family). Sidenote: Amber has no relation at all with the fossilized yellow stone.
An Amber accord is not a formula set in stone, nor is it a single note, although it plays that role. Our Rich and Sheer Ambers are two interpretations of this enveloping Oriental base note.
Sheer Amber, is the transparent version of it’s warmer heavier cousin Rich Amber.
It is as if the heavy velvet drapery were pulled back to reveal a sheer diaphanous curtain overlooking the view. Tonka Bean is brought to light with Citrus Peel and Cinnamon Bark, two sparkling characters, offset by a lactonic peachy-apricot effect.”
Rich Amber, by contrast, is a complex balsamic, earthy, woodsy blend of unmatchable honey-caramel creaminess. A floral-almond nuance brings a Gourmand quality without any recognizable edible triggers.”

“There is an Olfactive experience that many may not classify as 'Woodsy'. The bracing, sinus-clearing experience when Eucalyptus meets Pine, momentarily calming you as the Pine melts into sweet resin, then waking you with a brisk slap of Camphor. These are the Aromatic Woods of the spa, sauna, hot bath, therapeutic soak, rejuvenating, detoxifying world of body therapies. This is that accord.”

“Our Citrus Floral is ironically, a Floral first, with the Citrus revealing itself as it blooms! That is a true feat, as you know Citrus notes are highly volatile and typically make their appearances first. I could have named this lovely blend “rich exotic Citrus Floral” as it is a dance of the most lovely tropical flowers: Ylang, Jasmine, Tuberose Abs. and a hint of Rose. I decided on the Citrus classification because the crisp, elevated, treble-tonality carries throughout the life of the accord.”

“A testament to it’s name, even while evaluating this accord one becomes ‘sedated by drowsiness or stupor’. The Narcotic Florals are heavy, rich, velvety, sumptuous, sweet, and sometimes cloying. They are usually night-blooming white flowers, beckoning to the nighttime pollinators. My Queen of Flowers, Tuberose, leads the way, accompanied by Jasmine, Orange Flower, YlangYlang, plus dark, sweet, milky notes to make this accord the cornerstone of your Floral library. The signature is a creamy, seductive Tuberose Floral.”
